Family Therapy

Ashley Lanier-Pszczola, L.M.F.T., is a licensed marriage and family therapist and works with families with a wide variety of concerns, including communication problems, unhelpful family dynamics, stress related to life/family transitions, parenting concerns, and more. Ashley is specialized in working with families of children and adolescents. Drawing from her previous experience of developing family programming and working as the family therapist in an adolescent residential treatment program, Ashley helps families of adolescents with a wide variety of concerns specific to the teenage years and understanding overlapping mental health concerns. Ashley uses this experience to also assist families of teens who are transitioning back into their home and or school settings after attending a higher level of care such as residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient treatment (IOP). Ashley incorporates attachment-based family therapy (ABFT) into her systemic work with teens and their families.

Ashley also is able to integrate family sessions into individual treatment when it seems helpful or relevant. Family therapy in addition to individual therapy has been shown to support individuals engaged in treatment for anxiety, depression, OCD, etc. While Ashley is specialized in working with families of children and teens, she has experience and enjoys working with families of all ages. Ashley is a systemically trained family therapist and utilizes many systems-based modalities including Bowenian Family Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Ashley is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate.
